Mauritius Beaches
Mauritius regroups some of the world's loveliest beaches. Each having its particularity and tropical marine flora and fauna, sheltered by coral reefs. The turquoise lagoons, golden sand, and warm sun as you never did! Each beach will leave unforgetable souvenirs..
North Coast
Rich in colour and variety, the northern coastline offers breathtaking paradisiacal views. Grand Baie, considered as the Côte d'Azur of the island, with a wide variety of hotels, boutiques, restaurants and night clubs. Péreybère, Mont Choisy and Trou aux Biches are among the best places to swim in Mauritius, with it's endless sand, deep blue and clear waters.
East Coast
This part of the island is known for its sandy beaches and turquoise lagoons that have kept their pristine beauty. Here the beaches offer a uniquely fresh south east trade winds blowing all-year round. From Roches Noires and Poste Lafayette to Belle-Mare and Palmar, the east coast stretches out to Vieux Grand Port, a little village by the sea.
South Coast
The southern coast provides dramatic contrasts of views: leave the clear waters and sandy beaches of Blue Bay, known also for the diversity of its marine flora and fauna, and Pointe d'Esny to watch monstrous waves crashing against the rugged cliffs in regions deprived of coral reefs. Le Gris-Gris and Le Souffleur are ideal places for witnessing nature's fury and enjoy the freshness of the wet sea breeze.
West Coast
This part of the island offers a combination of mountain and sea sceneries. The entire coastline, comprising of crystal-clear lagoons, is dominated by Le Morne Brabant mountain, found on a peninsula south west of the island.. The coastal road continues up to Black River Bay and Tamarin, considered as the best surfing place of the island. A few kilometres away is Flic-en-Flac, the most popular beach of the region, with its casuarina-fringed lagoon, ideal for swimming.
